An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Kilmarnock, Scotland.As an ITU Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, contributing to their recovery and well-being.Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Deliver compassionate and specialised care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit.Monitoring: Utilise advanced monitoring equipment to assess patients’ conditions and respond promptly to changes.Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all assessments and interventions are well-documented.Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates, support, and education.Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.Requirements:Registered Nurse with valid NMC registrationAdvanced Life Support (ALS) and ITU/ICU training/certificationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPVG Certificate will be of advantage, although we can apply for one on your behalfContinued professional development opportunitiesHealth and well-being programsAccommodation Packages are availableHow to Apply: If you are a dedicated ITU Nurse ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you.
