A strategic and senior ITCS manager and training professional the ITCS Training Lead - Delivery is expected to use their extensive experience and knowledge to identify, design, deliver and evaluate cross-organisation IT training solutions.The post holder will manage a team of Senior and Principal Trainers, focused on Epic and associated IT systems. They will contribute to the workforce strategy and liaise with directorates/care groups and clinical/education leads, to meet IT training requirements for all staff.Main duties of the jobSupport the Head of Digital Training and Transformation to develop and maintain the ITCS Training Strategy and work in partnership with the ITCS Training Lead - Admin & Systems.Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of ITCS Training, working with application leads and topic leads to ensure that all learning objectives are covered and staff can complete the appropriate training.Work with ITCS Application leads, Education leads. Organisational Development (OD), Human Resources (HR), Directorate Management Teams (DMT) leads (at GSTT), and Care Group leads (at KCH) to optimise learning solutions, the use of Learning Management Systems and share expertise.About usGuy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) and King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCH) are two of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a long and proud history, international reputations for their speciality services, teaching and research excellence, and a strong profile of local services to local residents in south eastLondon. The Trusts are key partners within King's Health Partners AHSC(KHP), and Guy's and St Thomas' merged with the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS FT (RBH) in the Spring of 2021.The two Trusts share a Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and a vision for digital services that are lean and agile, that maximise the benefits of a shared service operating model, and deliver the digital ambition for both Trusts. This ambition is supported by a forward-looking and strategic approach, and significant investment in a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) which will catalyse a programme of work across both Trusts to transform the way technology and data is used across our services.Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesDelivery and Evaluation of Training In collaboration with the ITCS leads , define and agree the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and the training profiles for substantive and Trust Bank staff (across GSTT, KCH and partner organisations). Work with application leads and topic leads to ensure that training has clearly defined learning objectives which meet national and local requirements to mitigate risk to staff and patient safety. Contribute to the achievement of the Trusts strategic goals and priorities ensuring training is planned, co-ordinated, effective and strategic. Ensure the delivery methodology for compliance training programmes are aligned to the needs of the organisation and delivered in the most efficient and effective way, including online learning . Select and design appropriate Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) methodology or solutions eLearning, assessment, simulation, video, virtual classrooms, webinar presentation and live online learning interventions. Oversee delivery classroom training delivery and the development of online training. Ensure processes are in place to evaluate training and there is a culture of continuous improvement so that training continues to evolve and meet the changing needs of the organisation. Manage initiatives to drive digital literacy and embed use of digital healthcare, for example Wards First Initiative where IT Training staff work in clinical environments to embed and support new ways of working and capitalise on digital healthcare. Oversee the service provision of business as usual IT learning and performance support to end users. Ensure staff within the department maintain the high standards and strive to find new ways to improve response and knowledge. Develop Level 1- 4 Kirkpatrick evaluation strategies, Key Performance Indicator learning criteria. Ensure evaluation activities, embed new ways of working, measure the impact and fully supports success.Communications Develop engagement and implementation plans to ensure stakeholders receive timely, consistent communication about programme/project progress. This will require negotiation with and successful influence with multiple senior clinical and non-clinical managers, with differing agendas and opinions, to ensure programme/project objectives are successfully defined and delivered. Initiate and maintain champion user groups. Define the roles, responsibilities, terms of reference and tasks eg roles and requirements for champion users. Responsible for managing learning and development, service provision and contractual issues with outside providers and organisations, for example, ensuring IP rights are secured for GSTT and KCH.Planning, Analysis and Design Responsible for the overall management and planning of multiple short, mid and long-term (18 month plus) programme/projects, continuous improvement, and resources from conception through design, delivery, implementation to business as usual (BAU) transition. Provide expert guidance to a wide range of stakeholders to aid the development of key processes and patient journeys. Identify opportunities to enhance value, improve flow, eliminate waste and implement policies via digital transformation and change to working practices and support models.Strategy, Change Management and Service Improvement Utilise robust programme and project planning methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile) to ensure service improvement projects deadlines are delivered on time and within budget.Recording and reporting of Training Ensure robust processes and systems are in place to record and report. Ensure that data quality is continuously reviewed and monitored Oversee the provision of scheduled compliance reporting including the annual report to the Trust Risk Assurance Committee (TRAC), the quarterly Workforce Quality and Performance report and the monthly Executive Directors report.System and Processes development Support Training Lead Admin and Systems Working with key HR & OD stakeholders to ensure all employment policies are fair and equitable. Oversee the development and implementation of the ITCS Training policy and procedures and support Induction policy and procedure in line with the Policy Frameworks at GSTT and KCH and partner organisations.Stakeholder Engagement Responsible for robust stakeholder management and development of a comprehensive communication strategy for the ITCS training programme.GeneralIt is essential that the post holder is able to respond flexibly and positively to changes in the requirements of this post.
