IT Team Lead - North West London - Up to £31,000 per annum
Position Overview:
My client seeks an adept IT Team Lead to spearhead all IT operations within a school trust based in North West London. In this role, you'll lead a team of technicians, ensuring smooth IT system operations, and providing technical support to staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of IT technicians, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems, covering hardware, software, and networking.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to uphold compliance, security, and efficiency.
- Align local IT initiatives with organizational goals by working closely with the senior AIT HQ team.
- Offer timely technical support to staff and students, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Lead IT projects from inception to evaluation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor IT performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovations to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external vendors to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services.
- Compile regular reports for the senior AIT HQ team, summarizing IT activities, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT management roles, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on staff development.
- Proficient in IT systems, infrastructure, and protocols, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, prioritizing efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
- Experience in project management, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and other IT service management practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or ITIL are desirable.
