About the roleThis is a new role and a great opportunity to contribute your skills, knowledge and experience of implementing, optimising and managing IT systems and applications and IT and non-IT project management and delivery to play a key role to further develop the use of technology, and broader project management disciplines to support effective and efficient working practices within PSAA.The IT Systems and Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining PSAA’s overall IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals. They manage relationships with third-party IT service and software providers, including negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with the IT services SLA, and evaluating performance.The role will lead, manage and deliver the implementation of IT and non-IT projects from planning through execution, managing schedules, budgets, risks, and ensuring deliverables meet requirements.They will be the primary point of contact for IT operations and support, coordinating with third-party suppliers to resolve issues and monitoring system performance. Responsibilities include implementing security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and reviewing and updating IT-related security policies.The IT Systems and Project Manager will lead on change management for a range of projects including new technology rollouts, creating strategies for smooth user adoption and providing training. They represent IT within the organisation, communicating strategies to stakeholders and gathering business requirements.The position requires flexibility to support various project initiatives and deputising for the Chief Procurement and Business Management Officer when needed. Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies is essential.This is a hands-on varied role. In your first 12 months we anticipate your work may include the following projects, as well as becoming very familiar with our operational IT systems and service providers:Optimising the use of Adobe Pro, Teams and SharePointImplementation of Excelerator for AgressoA review of our CRM (Gold-Vision)Selection of a Contract Management SystemPlease refer to the attached role profile for full details about the role and its key responsibilities.About youThe ideal candidate will demonstrate the following essential skills:Academic and professional qualifications appropriate to the roleStrong knowledge of IT systems, processes, and best practicesExperience in IT and non-IT project management, including planning, budgeting, risk managementProven experience in IT strategy development and implementationUnderstanding of IT security measures, regulations, and compliance requirementsAbility to manage and oversee third-party vendor relationships and contractsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, willing to constructively challenge and voice own opinion in internal discussionsKnowledge of change management principles and user adoption strategiesDelivery-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify areas of improvement, overcome obstacles and identify solutions to move forwardExcellent organisational skills with a high-level of attention to detail and thoroughnessProven experience of coordinating multiple activities and shifting demands, with the ability to prioritise and simplify complexity to support effective delivery Ability to think laterally, rapidly assimilate and make sense of new information, have an enquiring mind and be resourcefulAble to work effectively on own initiative and know when to seek adviceStrong IT skills (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)You must have the right to work in the UK, PSAA are unfortunately unable to offer sponsorship visas.
