About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated IT support technician to join our team. You will work closely with the IT manager and third-party service providers to maintain the various IT systems across the Group’s 5 sites, whilst being primarily based at our main production facility in Glasgow. Working with our factory and office teams, you will be a key point of contact for day-to-day technical support as well as supporting the delivery of key IT implementation projects.
Role Responsibilities
Looking after onsite IT requirements:
Installations, moves and changes to onsite equipment.
Supporting factory and warehouse IT such as handheld devices and printers, as well as production line labelling and dispatch equipment.
Maintaining on-site physical security – gates/cameras/security fobs
Supporting business-critical IT operations within sales and finance offices, including maintenance of EDI and FTP order processing
Acting as point of contact for 3rd party partners and assist in scheduling support activities/onsite visits for support.
Supporting new-starts with IT system and hardware set-up.
Providing project support for new system implementation and configuration.

Knowledge and Skill requirements
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or related roles, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment and/or certified to CompTIA level (A+, N+, S+)
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)/File Transfer Protocol (FTP): Experience with EDI/FTP setup, configuration, and troubleshooting is desirable.
