The Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing IT technical support to staff and volunteers. This role will communicate with staff at every level in the organization in relation to technical support and training. The Support Specialist will also help support the IT department’s volunteers as needed. We work to empower ministry through the use of technology.What You’ll Do Provide great customer service to Life.Church staff and volunteers via the support issues, whether remotely, on the phone, or in person.Monitor the support ticketing system, respond quickly to new requests, and keep customers updated on the status of their requests, including next steps.Troubleshoot technical issues and develop a prioritized action plan for resolutions.Collaborate with and escalate to the other areas of IT to find resolutions.Provide weekend IT technical support as needed.Conduct basic IT training on organizational systems for new hires.Manage access for staff members after employment transactions(hire,terminations, staff changes, etc.).Assist with managing the workload and delegated tasks for IT department volunteers.Communicate with vendors and contractors as needed.Skills Needed to SucceedExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes in a concise and simple way.Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems.Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independentlyHigh School Diploma or GED.1-3 years of related work experience.Benefits We OfferPaid parental leave, including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave.Generous employer-paid leave for the use of vacation, sick time, and other qualifying reasons.Innovative and comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance that provides team members with useful resources and savings to navigate their holistic health.Life insurance policy provided for all staff members at 2x annual salary at no cost.
