IT Support Engineer - Windows Server 2012+, Windows Desktop (7,8 and 10), Office 365, Active Directory, Backup and DR Solutions - Hybrid (Birmingham) - £25-35k + bens
An experienced IT Support Engineer is urgently required to administer, support and maintain my clients internal IT infrastructure and web-based externally-hosted infrastructure solutions. Based in Birmingham city-centre, you will be responsible for undertaking deployments, system administration and infrastructure support.
IT Support Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
- Administer, support and maintain the internal IT infrastructure and web-based externally-hosted solutions
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain overall Service desk SLAs
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Office 365 and Active Directory
- Manage assigned tasks to support service and project activity
- Maintain support contracts with 3rd party suppliers
IT Support Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Substantial 1st and 2nd Line IT infrastructure support experience
- Thorough knowledge of Windows Server (#####+) and Windows Desktop (7,8 and 10) technology
- Detailed experience of Office 365, and Active Directory
- Knowledge of software installation and PC/ laptop set-up
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
You will work with a broad range of applications, devices and infrastructure so good problem-solving technique will ne needed to help resolve a wide array of technical issues. The ability to manage your own time and prioritise incidents and issues will also be required.
