IT Support Engineer - 1st & 2nd Line - EC2 - £40-50K
A specialist UK investment firm with fantastic benefits are recruiting for a IT Support Engineer to join their IT team in their Central London based headquarters.
The Service Desk Engineer will be dealing with 1st/2nd issues, triaging and closing tickets and providing general IT Support to the business. The Service Desk Engineer will provide technical support and administration for all end-user software, hardware, and connectivity.
The Service Desk team works closely with the System Engineers to deliver full end-to-end solutions and resolution of issues.
Responsibilities:
***Provide support for all internal systems, third party tools, and technologies, across their offices.
***Identify, diagnose, research, track, and resolve technical issues when raised.
***Answer support queries via telephone, email, and in person from a range of technical and non-technical staff, including in-house developers and senior staff.
You will have worked with some of these technologies:
***Working knowledge of MS Office & Windows 7/10/11 and Office 365 suite
***Active Directory, Group Policy and SharePoint
***Skills in OS builds, SSCM, packaging, configuration and vulnerability management.
***Exchange, SQL, Cisco Call manager
Desirable skills:
***Knowledge of finance applications such as Bloomberg & Eikon
***Microsoft Intune or other MDM tools
PowerShell or Python knowledge to creative automation scripts
***Demonstrable documentation skills (reports, policies, procedures, workflows)
***Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies, HyperV or VMWare
***Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical approach
***Ability to work under pressure and complete work to deadlines and SLA's both as part of a team and individually
***Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical terms.
