In this role, youll work towards yourLevel 3 IT Support Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Provide 1st line technical support to all staff in the first instance by phone or email
Perform password resets, creating and implementing group policies, multi factor authentication, anti-virus config & encryption
Answering incoming calls for all 1st line IT issues
Produce any follow up actions and escalate as necessary within the business
To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles and SLAs
Maintain client network architecture by setting up routers and servers, and also monitoring network speed & performance via IP Scanner & ninjaOne
Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected on Halo
Install & Configure a range of software components using Microsoft Portals to ensure all software is set up to the clients requirements - I.e. office, 365
Using Halo Ticketing system to escalate tasks, log tasks, communicate and maintain full documentation
Hardware installation could be setting up a new laptop for a new user and/or assigning RAM virtually.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
£14,000 - £18,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 9am 5pm, after probation can work 8am 4pm
21 daysholidays plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
Passion for IT
Good communicator
Fairly local to office
Good problem-solving skills
