Your new role Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a exciting role as an IT/SAP Project Manager, accountable for the Project Management of Multiple Small-Medium sized SAP Projects for Hitachi Rail Limited in the UK, alongside management of a Change Management Programme for small changes to SAP solutions. You will also be responsible for assuring agreed budget, time and quality are met, whilst adhering to HRL PMO/Audit/Compliance Procedures.As the IT/SAP Project Manager you will lead cross-functional teams to define, scope, plan, execute and deliver exceptional business value and benefits on time and within budget whilst working with Hitachi Rails IT/PMO to remain compliant with the PMO Framework. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the SAP aspects of the HRL Change Programme whilst adhering to the JSOX Application Control Process to ensure all changes remain within the audit control parameters.Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:Establish and maintain a Project team for assigned SAP Projects, including management of Internal and external resources assigned in those Projects.Maintain a Change Management Programme team to ensure the prioritised changes from the business teams are progressed in line with the approved programme.Attend the Change Management Board Meetings as SAP lead to discuss all open and new changes.Present the Change Programme and Reporting Dashboards at the Change Board Monthly Meetings.Update the Change Programme and Reporting Dashboards accordingly based on the outcomes of the Monthly Change Board Meetings.Work with HRL Procurement & HR teams as well as partner vendors to recruit and on-board Project/Change resources.Continuously demonstrate the principles of professional Project Management and Governance, providing a consistently reliable service to sponsors, key stakeholders and colleagues.Ensuring that Projects/Changes are executed within specified timeframes and budget in accordance with declared quality and benefit targets using defined controls, processes and support tools.Act as first point escalation across assigned Projects and the Change Programme for all SAP related activities.Be responsible for ownership to resolve all RAID related items, including liaising with wider stakeholder group as needed.Use technical business and strategic knowledge to support appropriate decision making and communication plans for both Projects and the Change Programme.Adherence to the SAP Applications Transition Methodology to ensure a smooth transfer from Projects and Changes to SAP Support without any service disruption.Ensure all required support documentation is agreed upfront with SAP Support and delivered to agreed timescales.Ensure detailed and up-to-date documentation is produced/maintained for the SAP solutions being delivered in accordance with the SAP Applications Change Controls/J-SOX Audit/Compliance procedures in HRL.Provide accurate resource forecasts at any point in time for use in decision making around Project/Change request/demand management, release planning or change impact analysis.Produce Project Reports for presentation to key stakeholders.About Hitachi Rail A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy. And that’s where you come in.We value the importance of all of our employees, if you would like to join our fantastic organisation you could be entitled to:Competitive salaryAnnual Performance bonus paid on discretionary basis.25 days holidayPension scheme with contributions up to 9%Private medical insurancePersonal Accident insuranceGroup Income protectionGroup Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWe also offer additional perks for you to choose from within a flexible plan that will meet your specific needs and lifestyle.About youIt is our expectation that successful applicants should be able to demonstrate all of the experience and skills listed below:Essential Requirements Must have signification experience on SAP application platform and project management.Strong general knowledge of SAP modules and product portfolio.Experience of providing SAP Project/Change Management in Manufacturing and Operational Service & Maintenance environments.Good understanding of associated SAP modules, e.g., PM, WM, MM, PP, QM, FI, CO, HR, SD, PS.Solid understanding of SOX (where possible JSOX) / COBIT framework, associated methodologies and practices to ensure fully compliant SAP solutions are delivered.Experience of at least one significant SAP Project Lifecycle, including transition into support from a large, multi-disciplined SAP Project within the corporate functions of mid-large businesses.The ability to operate in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment, requiring flexible thinking and regular collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.Experience in delivering multiple SAP Projects/Changes.Experience in managing teams required to deliver Projects/Changes.Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead senior Steering Groups and manage senior stakeholders.QualificationsEducated to degree standard and/or significant experience.Desirable Requirements Experience in working for global company or with Japanese and/or Italian based companies.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
