IT Project Manager - Lloyd's / London Market Insurance - Permanent - London - Hybrid

Looking for a Project Manager to join the change function of a disruptive Lloyd's Market insurer. This innovative, tech-first, and cloud-native organization is in an exciting period of continued growth and looking for an experienced professional to contribute to the advancement of the technology team's project management and delivery capabilities.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the division's advancement and assist in taking the technology team's project management and delivery to the next level.

You will be a multi-faceted Project Manager who is excited to roll their sleeves up and become a key figure in the division's nascency. You'll be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at every level along with good external partner management and communication.

Successful candidate would come from the specialty insurance industry, with experience in managing full lifecycle of software implementation and enhancement projects.

Previous experience as a Project Manager working on Data Lake / Data Platform / Azure related projects would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Mobilizing and delivering complex technology implementation projects, including data-related initiatives such as data management systems, analytics platforms, and data infrastructure enhancements.
• Defining project scope, identifying workstreams, and mapping critical paths for delivery
• Motivating cross-functional teams across a wide variety of projects, emphasizing data-driven decision-making and fostering collaboration between data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
• Establishing effective project governance and communication protocols, with a specific focus on ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams

Requirements:

• Experience as a Project Manager in Lloyd's / London Market Insurance
• Track record delivering complex technology implementation projects
• Strong background in data management and analytics, showcasing proficiency in leveraging data to drive project insights and outcomes
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and the ability to effectively manage projects within a cloud-native environment
• Experienced in project delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid approaches
• Understanding of agile workflow tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA
• A solution-finder mindset, always looking to improve processes and delivery
• Keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
