Job Description:
Harvey Nash's public sector client is looking for an Assistant Head of IT Support. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, providing strategic and operational advice and guidance on the use and maintenance of the client, or those used by the client, IT systems, creation and maintenance of relevant IT related standard operating procedures (SOPs), representing the client at meetings with external stakeholders and suppliers, and line managing the Digital Content Manager.
Main Duties:
Provide strategic and operational IT advice, guidance, and support to those that work for the client;
Line manage the Digital Content Manager & IT Support staff
Develop, implement and/or monitor standard operating procedures for the use of THE website and Intranet;
Develop and/or review relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) on used IT systems, making recommendations for change where applicable;
Research and recommend, where applicable, hardware, software and network solutions;
Lead on the decommissioning of legacy IT systems;
Oversee the purchase, installation, configuration and management and maintenance of client owned, or used by client, hardware and software;
