Overview
You have a chance to work for a leading Transportation company in the UK who has been in the industry for over 25 years, serving over 30 million passengers annually. They are currently looking to appoint an IT Information Security Manager to manage the technical cyber environment in a hands-on manor.
Role Overview:
Minimum 5 years of experience in roles like Cyber Security Manager, Cyber Risk Manager, Cyber Threat Manager, Information Security Manager, IT Security Manager, or similar
Collaborate with the Head of IT to develop, maintain, and execute a robust Cyber Security Roadmap aimed at minimizing risks
Take ownership of all Security-related policies and procedures, ensuring their maintenance and adherence
Develop and maintain the Information Security Strategy
Conduct ongoing assessments of security threats, risks, capabilities, and maturity levels
Possess a strong understanding of security legislation, regulatory frameworks, methodologies, and industry standards, particularly GDPR and data protection
Extensive experience with GDPR and data protection regulations
Experience in establishing and managing SOC services, including third-party SOC management
Implement ISO 27001 standards
Proficiency in security assessment frameworks such as threat modelling, controls assessment, and risk assessment
Promptly respond to security incidents, overseeing technical solutions for mitigations
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals including networks, operating systems, and databases
Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure availability of specialized resources like IT forensic analysis, penetration testing, and security auditing
Experience with tools such as Rapid 7, Sophos MTR, Solarwinds, and SNOW
Required skills
professional security qualifications CISSP, CRISM, CISM or Security+
significant experience in Information Security roles, advanced knowledge of industry standards such as ISO and NIST, and the ability to map organizational operations against these standards, identifying gaps and executing necessary measures
