The team is global based across the USA, UK, and India. We have an ambitious program to transform our landscape over the next few years, focused on bringing in the latest technologies and innovations. The successful candidate will be at the centre of several exciting initiatives with many opportunities to contribute and open doors for even bigger next steps.As an Engineer you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of our IT Collaboration infrastructure, with a focus on corporate email, whilst providing strategic direction to projects aimed at transforming our IT organization. This will include working with the following technologies: Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Mail Relay, Teams, Zoom, and Slack. Operational knowledge of Azure and AWS is a requirement. We are very much technology agnostic and by investing in our engineers can adopt new technologies as the business requires. This role reports to the Senior IT Engineering Manager within the Enterprise Infrastructure Services function.What you will do Act as the IT SME for Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online technology stacks and corporate email flowBe the SME and technical owner for global Email delivery across Exchange Online and On-Premise, relays (AWS SES), and email security which uses Sophos Central MailYou will be project owner for key collaboration projectsProvide governance and reporting on health of technically owned systemsYou will contribute to the governance and management of other collaboration tools like Zoom and Slack.Manage the environment through PowerShell, Power Automate, or an equivalent technologyCommunicate and deliver O365 roadmap improvements to the Sophos organisationSupport and train peers and junior engineers in your area of expertiseYou will be part of the Oncall rota, which is typically 1 week in 4What you will bringIn depth knowledge of Exchange Online and Exchange On-PremiseSME on email delivery, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC and email relayExperience in managing Exchange Hybrid environments, and migrating from On-Premise exchange to Office365Governance and administration for O365, Zoom is desirableDeep technical expertise in at least one of the following technologiesMicrosoft Azure AD / EntraIDOffice 365 suite of applications outside of ExchangeMust have experience leading projects that delivered large scale infrastructure improvementsMust have experience in governance for Office 365, setting and reporting on policy healthMust be comfortable delivering training, presentations, and content to large audiencesMust be a team player and have passion for technologyExperience providing technical input into multiple projectsAbility to produce high quality technical documentation includingStandard operating proceduresKnowledge base articlesDetailed troubleshooting documentation#B2#LI-RemoteReady to Join Us?At Sophos, we believe in the power of diverse perspectives to fuel innovation.
