IT Business AnalystDepartment: ITEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: Derby, UKDescriptionWe are looking for an IT Business Analyst who will be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills. You will have a solid and methodical thought process to act as an ambassador for processes and workflows relating to IT & business efficiencies.You will identify, communicate, plan, and support the delivery of IT & business solutions and services, to support and drive continuous improvement.You will be working with the business and firmwide departments to understand their key business strategies and drivers and to help address these through innovative and pioneering solutions.Working hours: Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00 - 17:15 although work outside of these times may be requiredOffice Location: Derby head office with remote & onsite support as required at our central Birmingham office.Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping a strong understanding of how the business and legal teams operate to understand how things can be changed to make a positive differenceServing as the conduit between the business stakeholder community (internal and external) and the internal or supplier led development teams including Project Managers & Developers.Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.Reporting recommended changes to the IT management teams and supporting the delivery and implementation plan.Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies.Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise systems.Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formatsConstruct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specificationsDefine project requirementsConduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client groupInterpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-makingConduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issuesProduction of, and assistance with the production of solution documentation, including but not constrained to; requirements documentation, discussion papers, impact assessments as required by the business and internal IT teamsBe a champion for innovation, redefining processes that could bring significant benefit to the Firm across its diverse business areas.Support operations as appropriate both within and outside of normal operating hoursSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseYou will:Have experience of managing complex IT projects end to end.Have experience delivering high-end IT project to set timeframes and within budget.Have previous experience of delivering IT and business change preferably in a legal or professional services sector.Have experience of developing data integrations and data transfer packages.Be an advocate for project management and support technical teams undertaking aspects of project management activity.Build strong business partnerships across the business.Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.BenefitsWhat we offer?Competitive salaryBonus potentialGreat working environment at our Derby Head officesCareer Development opportunities25 days holiday plus bank holidaysOptions to buy & sell 1 week's holiday1 week's holiday carry overExtra day off for your birthdayStaff card discount scheme for local shopsSocial days and evenings on the firmMonthly food on the firm for all staffStaff discounts on legal services
