As an apprentice you will be fully immersed in the world of IT, you will be tasked with maintaining and controlling the stock of IT equipment, imaging and building desktops and laptops, log support tickets in accordance with their IT Support processes, provide customer service focused technical support to end users and much more. Throughout your journey you will be closely supported by the IT Manager and a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to provide you with industry expert knowledge every step of the way.
In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Maintain and control stock of IT equipment
Image and build desktops and laptops ready for use
Prepare equipment to be dispatched to sites when needed
Log support tickets in accordance with their IT Support processes and maintain documentation
Provide customer service focused technical support to their end users
Escalate more complex support issues to the relevant member of the IT team
Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
Basic administration of telephony systems
Basic administration of user login for various systems
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
£16,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm but flexibility to work additional hours where required
22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Able to communicate with staff at all levels of the business and franchise partners
Ability to explain technical issues verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience
Logical and analytical, with a methodical approach to problem solving
Ability to focus on quick solutions and prioritise workloads
Ability to work under your own initiative and willing to take personal responsibility for issues
Self-motivated team player, resourceful and keen to learn and share knowledge
Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths
