�55.25 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35

This is a great opportunity to join one of the UKs leading Defence organisations based in RAF Coningsby.

The role will necessitate a 'hands on' approach and must include the following areas of knowledge/skills and responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with backup and data retention policies and that there is no data loss.
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2016 administration and configuration.
  • Be aware of and able to implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the latest regulations covering Data Protection and the relevant security classification of any data residing on/within the area(s) of responsibility. Compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations is essential.
  • To attend meetings involving all business and customer stakeholders relating to IT and AVTE provision.
  • High standards will be set at all times both in a working environment and personally.
  • The role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications

Responsibilities:-

Point of contact for all TTF related IT and AVTE issues including those relating to equipment/services provided by others.

  • Attendance at meetings relating to IT and AVTE provision.
  • Administration of Local Network comprising of 600+ users, 250+ workstations and 10+ Servers including Active Directory , Group Policy and DNS as per business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with data backup and retention policies ensuring that there is no data loss.
  • Proven experience of IT Technician/Administration
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL Data manipulation and design
  • Conversant with emerging technologies and able to analyse their potential suitability to enhance the schools resources for both IT and AVTE and propose solutions.
  • Conversant with AVTE, display and control systems.
  • Aware of, and able to, implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the latest regulations covering General Data Protectin Regulations and the relevant security classification of any data residing on/within the area(s) of responsibility. Compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations is essential.
  • An expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems; Server 2019 and Windows 10/11 which is to include installation and configuration. Microsoft qualifications/course attendance are requirements.
  • Extensive understanding of networking protocols, which should include infrastructure set up and configuration, including both TCP/IP, WiFi and Fibre Channel.
  • Experience of various data back-up technologies and soloutions
  • Experience of hardware fault diagnosis to component level.
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile hardware soloutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 and 365.
  • Ability to understand and manipulate several computer languages including Visual Basic, MSSQL, OSQL, Powershell and basic.
  • Experince with Oracle Database management systems (ODBMS)
  • Management of inventory control software and ensuring it is up-to-date.

Skills:-

  • Work effectively as part of a team as well as individually.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and ensure completion in a satisfactory and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent, Oracle/SQL, Network+, Security +, Microsoft Desktop Support Technician (MSDST), Microsoft Server 2019, Microsoft SQL experience to offset
