IP Network Support Engineer

Salary : £40,000 plus 20% bonus and bens
Job Description
Rapidly expanding network service provider is looking to recruit a IP Network Support Engineer to provide 2nd line support to their enterprise customer base and troubleshooting of their IP core network – which is mostly Juniper based.
This role is ideal for a CCNA/JNCIA level support technician or NOC Engineer looking to move into a 2nd line support role.
Duties will include providing technical support to customers and network, monitoring customer network equipment and ongoing tickets, escalation of faults to the core engineering team, the role includes hands on config and engineering support with visits to DC’s and POP sites.
Ideally you need to have worked for an ISP, service provider or MSP and have a good knowledge of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Switches, Routers) on either Cisco or Juniper equipment.
Quick learner with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
3 to 5 years of technical experience or previous Network Support Engineer experience.
An excellent role for a 1st/2nd line IP support engineer to gain detailed training both hands on and vendor training along experience of a large growing IP network.
