In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge software systems, empowering our IoT capabilities to seamlessly integrate with Elekta products in medical facilities.
Working alongside hardware engineers, software developers, and regulatory experts, you'll lead cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions that drive innovation and transform patient care.

What you’ll do at Elekta As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, secure, and scalable software systems that power our IoT capabilities connecting to Elekta products in medical facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and regulatory experts, to ensure the successful development and deployment of our products. Responsibilities Solutions Architecture: Design and define the overall software architecture for our connected medical devices, considering scalability, security, integrations and compliance with industry regulations.Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the software development team, guiding them in implementing best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.IoT Expertise: Leverage your expertise in IoT technologies to develop solutions that collect, transmit, and analyze data from medical devices securely and efficiently.Compliance: Ensure that all software components and systems adhere to relevant industry regulations and standards, such as FDA, ISO 13485, and cybersecurity requirements.Security: Implement and oversee security measures, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability assessments, to protect sensitive medical data.Scalability: Design software systems that can scale to accommodate the growing data and device ecosystem, ensuring optimal performance.Prototyping and Proof of Concepts: Create prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to validate architectural decisions and explore new technologies.Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of software architecture, design decisions, and codebase, ensuring clarity for both internal teams and regulatory bodies.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, QA, and regulatory experts, to drive successful product development. The right stuff Excellent at identifying and resolving issues efficiently.Strong ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Prioritizes and implements secure development practices.Proficient in secure coding and engineering methodologies.Works effectively in diverse team environments.Positively influences team members and fosters collaboration.Leads technical change initiatives and drives innovation across teams.What you’ll bringBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Strong background in solutions architecture, IoT technologies, or software development in regulated environments.Up to 5 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing complex software systems.Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, such as FDA 510(k) submissions and ISO 13485.Experience with infrastructure testing strategies.Experience with systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging.Experience with DevOps & fully automating CI/CD pipelines.Experience working with and deploying to Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies.Experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems as well as writing and maintaining automation scripts.Agile, Scaled Agile experience (beneficial).What you’ll get:In this role, you will work for a higher purpose; hope for everyone dealing with cancer, and for everyone regardless of where in the world, to have access to the best cancer care.
