Investment Operations Associate

My client is looking for an Operations Analyst 1-4 years buy side experience
The role requires the individual to be extremely motivated and dedicated, taking a hands on approach to all areas of operations and wider support across the firm.
The right candidate will also have an inquisitive mindset, curious to understand the mechanics of how everything works across the trade flow. IT literary
The Analyst will take responsibility for the following duties:
Undertake a daily review of trades executed which may include a variety of products, including global and emerging market fixed income, equities, futures, listed derivatives and OTC derivatives.
Liaising with Fund administrator, custodians, brokers and other counterparties to ensure daily operation issues such as trade discrepancies and settlement issues are resolved promptly.
Providing middle office support, including trade booking, trade matching, cash & position reconciliation. The individual will be expected to support the entire trade lifecycle from front to back.
PL reporting
Support periodic management/marketing reporting and prepare bespoke client reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
Identifying inefficiencies and making enhancements in operational processes
The Analyst will meet the following skill set:
Strong academic background
1-2 experience in a similar role at an investment firm or an operations/financial data-related role at another type of firm (Prime Broker, data vendor, govt agency, or other
Strong communication, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income and derivative products from either a trade support or middle/back-office perspective.
Demonstrable risk and controls awareness and ability to apply this to the operating environment.
IT literacy a plus
