Our client is a power response specialist, providing vital energy security to a UK electricity market which increasingly relies on renewable energy as we transition to a Net Zero economy. The client deploys a range of technologies to support the UK in this transition and as a result they are an increasingly integral provider of flexible power response services to the UK electrical grid.
As a key element of their next phase of growth they are now seeking an Investment Analyst to support the business in financial planning, performance and managing business plans to develop investment.
Reporting to the CFO you will be an active partner to both the CFO and the rest of the organisation, driving business and financial performance, by developing a profit-centric culture. A key priority of the role is driving cost-efficiency and profitability, providing critical support in key business decisions by using financial modelling and scenario planning.
Key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

• Building financial IRR models for modelling investment opportunities;
• Developing, owning and maintaining the long-term business plan, keeping it up to date at all times;
• Sourcing and managing data inputs from third party market specialists;
• Conducting risk forecast analysis on existing portfolio and new assets / markets;
• Supporting the senior team in due diligence, deal execution and investment documentation;
• Supporting on capital raising (both senior debt and institutional equity)

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with a financial qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or other), with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, with evidence in support. Electricity or energy market experience or similar experience of highly regulated markets would be a distinct advantage.
