This mahi will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityWe have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.Analysts are responsible for providing a wide range of health insights information and analysis to national and regional teams, input into service design and development early in the process to ensure analytical requirements are well informed and interpreted and ensure health insights analysis have focus on health equity for Māori, as well as equity across other population groups.Please note the salary band for this role is: $73,093 - $91,366 dependent on skills and experience.Experience scoping, collecting/extracting, analysing, and forecasting data.Experience using one or more of the following (or similar) applications: Business Intelligence Visualisation Tools (Power BI/SQL/Excel).Advanced knowledge of and experience in Excel.Knowledge and experience applying quantitative statistical methods, frameworks, tools and techniques to deliver insights.The ability to translate analytical results and findings into a compelling narrative.A proactive commitment to ongoing personal and professional developmentContinuously develops and improves own technical expertise in line with relevant/ industry trends.Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join usWhen you join us, you become part of transforming the health system.
