JOB TITLE:
Inventory Controller
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing inventory transactions in Maximo e.g., issue from stock, transfer between locations,
returns into stock, disposal etc.Focal point of for all inventory and equipment related queries. Liaising with relevant stakeholders and providing information on inventory levels, repair status, rental equipment status and utilisation.Working closely with operations, materials management team and warehouse team to ensure requests for inventory materials and rental equipment are fulfilled in a timely manner.Provide guidance on inventory management processes.Ensuring that items and equipment are correctly labelled and that correct materials descriptions, part numbers, tag numbers are recorded in the inventory records as applicable.Tracking of all rental equipment from placement of a Purchase Order until return to the vendor and ensuring that on/off hire dates are accurate.Validating invoices for equipment rental to ensure the hire durations and charges are correct.Cataloguing materials when required.Co-ordinating reviews of min/max levels with relevant technical authorities to ensure availability of critical spares.Ensuring that correct materials descriptions, part numbers, tag numbers are recorded in the inventory records as applicable.Tracking inventory value at an item level and updating values in Maximo.Maintaining accurate inventory records of all items stored onshore.Producing regular inventory movement and inventory valuation reports.Supporting shutdown campaigns to ensure traceability of work order materials.Carrying out cyclical and annual audits to ensure continued compliance with the Company’s inventory management processes.Supporting an inventory optimisation programme intended to reduce cost/footprint and streamlining stock issue process.Proactively supporting development and review of inventory management processes and forms.Ensuring that materials under export licensing and dual use requirements are correctly documented, compliant, stored and handled in line with the legal requirements.Provide support and assistance to other members of the team as required.Implement appropriate plans, processes, procedures, and warehouse space allocation.Control and manage offshore/site call offs/short order requisitions, plant and equipment hire, etc.Attend and participate in morning calls and any other project meetingsTracking inventory value at an item level and updating values in Maximo.Validating invoices for equipment rental to ensure the hire durations and charges are correct.Investigating and resolving any discrepancies incl. root cause analysis and adjustments (via Audits of Stock, Rentals, and working processes)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Experience in similar materials management roles ideally within the Oil and Gas industry. Significant experience of using Inventory Management systems.Experience in tracking inventory values desirable.Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook.Experience of using Inventory Management and Equipment Tacking systemsComprehensive knowledge of Inventory Management Systems.Analytical mindset and ability to design complex reports and carry out a root cause analysis.Working knowledge of HMRC regulations related to the movement of materials to/from the UKCS.Strong communicator who works effectively as part of a team.Proactive and collaborative approach, able to use own initiative.Understanding of a condition-based inventory valuation model.Highly organised & detail orientated individual.Must be flexible in approach to work, conscientious in the control of documentation and possess the ability to change priorities as and when the business needs dictate.My ProfileCreate and manage profiles for future opportunities.
