Intrinsic Safety Certification Engineer
I am working closely with a certification body with their own in-house test laboratories to find an experienced Certification Engineer with an electronic engineering background to join their growing in-house Certification & Consultancy Team. You will be specialising in the evaluation of equipment that utilise intrinsically safe electronics (training on this specialised area will be provided) and are designed to be used in hazardous areas such as the oil & gas, chemicals and other process-related industries. This includes certification schemes IECEx, ATEX, UKEX and NRTL.
This is both a technical and client-facing role that would suit someone who is currently working for a manufacturer of process or industrial equipment in a product design capacity or working for a certification body; and who is enthusiastic, pragmatic, and thorough and who enjoys being part of a small, growing team. This is an exciting time to join them as they are continuing to expand their range of services including consultative and collaborative work with their customers located around the world, and exploring new market sectors.
This role can be fulfilled fully remotely, or hybrid working can be offered for those who would prefer. There may be the very occasional visit to customer sites to understand their requirements and settings, but the vast majority of interactions are conducted via video. They are all able to offer an attractive salary & benefits packages.
