International Sales Manager - MachineryPosition this role reports to - Head of SalesJob Purpose:To identify and develop opportunities, to negotiate and close sales, to support the development of the sales strategy.QualificationsAn engineering qualification or relevant experience.The Job (Main Duties):
* To establish and develop customer relationships at all levels in a professional manner.
* To maintain regular direct contact with our customer base.
* To ensure awareness of our products and services to both existing and potential customers.
* To negotiate and secure orders that are profitable, commercially secure and technically sound.
* To lead the sales team's response to customer enquiries and support the preparation of proposals.
* To work with colleagues in the wider group, supporting regional salespeople and helping respond to enquiries.
* To identify and develop Customer Service business opportunities with existing and new customers.
* To identify and report market requirements to support business strategies.
* To provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the industry.
* To prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts and contact information on a regular basis and in a timely manner.
* Drive and be a role model for the company values & behaviours.
* To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, in respect of self and others.Candidate Profile:Proven international / export sales experience.Excellent networking, communication and presentation skills, to all levels of a business.A desire and ability to spend up to 40% of their time abroad.Ability to understand technical matters (products, processes, equipment) and systems to a reasonable level.Ability to think strategically in regard to customers and markets.A team player.Understanding of contract terms and conditions.The following would also be an advantage:Experience in the food industry.An engineering qualification or relevant experience.Fluency in other languages.TravelUp to 40% of your time abroad
