Internal Sales Person | Paisley | 7.30-5.00 Monday to Thursday, 7.30-4.00 Friday and 8.00-12.00, alternate Saturdays | Salary, Competitive based on experience

Our client is based in Paisley, they are a timber and builders’ merchant and are one of Renfrewshire's business jewels. The company takes pride in their reputation for slick, efficient service. Because of the company’s continued success, we are currently helping our client to find the ideal candidate to join the team as an Internal Sales Person.

Are you the right person for the job?


  • Internal Sales experience essential
  • Knowledge of the Heavy-side, Hard Landscape, Drainage, Timber & Building Materials industry is essential
  • Good telephone skills/manner
  • IT Literate.
  • Negotiating experience

What will your role look like?


  • Manage and control the effective flow of information both from and to customers, Sales Representatives and internal departments
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of requests for information and requirements from both internal and external sources whether written or verbal
  • The checking of all information and data for accuracy and completeness, before communicating with the relevant party
  • Regularly progress and follow up requests for information and approvals from all sources
  • Display a pro-active, “can do” attitude and promote a “team approach” amongst internal sales personnel to provide effective customer service levels
  • Maintain suitable records to enable the swift retrieval of all information pertaining to customer records
  • Visit customers as required to improve relationships and obtain firsthand knowledge of their requirements
  • Handle day-to-day queries and issues and satisfactorily resolve such items
  • During day-to-day customer management, review customer interaction to ensure continuing contact with present, previous and potential customers with the possibility of arranging Sales Representatives appointments
