Internal Sales Engineer

Internal Sales Engineer / Internal Sales Executive / Internal Sales required to join a engineering distributor based in Gloucester.

The successful Internal Sales Executive / Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Coordinator / Internal Sales will provide support, quotations, proficient customer service, order handling of Industrial Automation products including PLCs (programmable logic controllers), variable speed drives, control panels, control gear, industrial switches, I/O systems, I/O modules, Wincc, HMI panels, transmitters, profibus, switchgear, etc.

Exposure to the above products, electrical, or engineering products is essential.

Up to £40K depending on experience

Role
Give advice and guidance on product selection as per customers’ needs.
Drawing on a background of technical knowledge in order to develop customer solutions and generate new business
Generate & provide quotations & proposals of Industrial Automation & similar electrical engineering products – including PLCs (programmable logic controllers), variable speed drives, control panels, control gear, industrial switches, I/O systems, I/O modules, Wincc, HMI panels, transmitters, profibus, SCADA, switchgear, etc.
Carry out contractual review and preparation of formal quotations against customer requirements.
Provide support and cover to other Sales Engineers and all aspects of Customer services - e.g. order processing, expediting, documentation etc.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Office based in Gloucester.

Requirements
Experience as an Internal Sales Executive, Internal Sales Engineer, Internal Sales or similar experience within an internal engineering sales or product support & selection role
Experience of engineering or industrial automation product, including PLCs (programmable logic controllers), variable speed drives, control panels, control gear, industrial switches, I/O systems, I/O modules, Wincc, HMI panels, transmitters, profibus, SCADA, switchgear, electrical or similar
Engineering / technical qualification would be beneficial
