Internal Sales - Builders Merchant

Our client are a well respected Merchant providing a specialist building supplies to contractors, house builders, housing associations, and end users.

Due to an internal move their is an exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales person to join their busy and profitable branch.

The role entails selling the companies building supplies via telephone and emails, as well as face to face on the trade counter when required.� There is a need to keep regular contact with the customer base and develop key relationships with builders to ensure repeat buisiness.� Additionally, you will look to find out about the clients job so that you can cross basket sell and upsell where possible to ensure the best possible sale is achieved.� Furthermore, there will be a need to keep in regular contact with your customerbase to ensure that they are using you instead of a competitor.� You may also be asked to speak to lapsed accounts, and low spending accounts to see whether you can entice the business back.� Margin management is key in this to ensure that the best possible sale price is achieved.

Due to the need to have knowledge of the current prices of materials, and have an understanding of the building materials needed for each job, builders merchant industry experience is required for the role.

Our client are offering a lucrative package which includes:

• Basic salary of up to c�50k (for experience with civils, drainage merchants) Up to c�40k for those from a mixed Builders Merchant background.
