Internal Controls Lead

A London based listed business is looking for a new Internal Controls Lead. The firm has undergone a significant amount of change over the last five years; several new acquisitions have significantly changed their global profile.You will play a crucial role within finance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. On a wider basis, you will assist in the development of internal control processes and effectiveness of the financial operations department.Excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Responsibilities Include:Gather insight into primary risks and mitigating strategiesLead audit activities efficiently and effectivelyAssist third-party auditors in preparing audit scopes, conducting fieldwork, and concurring on audit recommendationsFostering a culture of compliance and awareness to sustain the expansion momentumImplementing process improvements and automation initiatives to support scalability and efficiencyCoordinate and conduct enquiries into whistle-blowing and policy breachesAdvance initiatives related to Corporate Risk ManagementQualifications / Experience Required:Qualified Accountant or Internal Auditor with significant PQEExtensive technical accounting knowledgeProven background in internal audit and SOX complianceExperience within a management position in a listed companyFields marked with an asterisk (*) are required
