Internal Communications Officer

Our client is looking for an experienced Internal Communications Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for 3 months. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and alignment.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications function, this role will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful internal communications to our diverse and dispersed workforce.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute internal communications and engagement plans
• Own the delivery, engagement, and feedback mechanisms for internal communications initiatives�
• Create and distribute regular communications through various channels, including email, intranet, newsletters, and social media�
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their communication needs and shape effective messaging
• Manage and maintain the intranet, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organisation and provides clear and audience-focused content
• Collaborate with the wider communications team to support integrated campaigns and initiatives
• Monitor and respond to inquiries and feedback through the inbox in a timely and professional manner

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Understanding of digital technologies used in internal communications
• Familiarity with user experience principles
• Experience in adapting�communication style to meet the needs of diverse audiences
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, with strong editing and proofreading abilities
• Strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills
• Experience advising senior managers on internal communications challenges
• Previous experience developing or contributing to internal communications strategies
• Experience with web writing and content management systems

Although this role will be Hybrid, you may occassionally need to visit office locations in London, Oxford, Bristol, and Manchester.
