We are thrilled to announce a permanent opening for an Internal Communications Business Partner to join our team.This is an exciting time to join Anglian Water and the @one Alliance. Our recently published business plan for 2025-2030 outlines a £9 billion investment in essential infrastructure for the East of England.In this role, you will be part of the Anglian Water central Internal Communications team, reporting to the Internal Communications Principal for Strategic Delivery and Commercial Assurance (SD&CA) and the strategic alliances.Your primary responsibility will be to support the @one Alliance, a collaboration of eight partners-Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Mott MacDonald Bentley, MWH Treatment, Skanska, Sweco, and Binnies-working together to deliver over half of Anglian Water's capital investment program.As a valued employee you'll be entitled to:Competitive pension scheme - Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6% Personal private health care Annual bonus scheme 26 days leave, rising with service + Bank Holidays, with the option to swap Christmas and Easter holidays for those celebrated by your religion Personal Accident cover - up to 5x your salary Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle Lots of great benefits including 20% off new EE mobile contracts, discounted cinema tickets and a Cycle2Work scheme Free parking at all offices, site and leisure parks What you'll be doing:Assist the Internal Communications Principal in crafting and implementing the communications strategy for Strategic Delivery and Commercial Assurance (SD&CA) and strategic alliances, ensuring alignment with Anglian Water's overall communications strategy.Establish strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, acting as a trusted advisor to drive optimal outcomes and connect with broader strategic goals.Manage diverse communication needs, including messaging for the @one Alliance, engaging both office-based and site-based employees, and the supply chain partners.Guide and support leaders and Front Line Managers (FLMs)/site managers in best practice internal communications.Translate Anglian Water's purpose, values, and strategic goals into engaging local communications to drive performance and promote environmental and social prosperity in the region.Support the transition to the next water industry Asset Management Period in April 2025.Advise on and implement appropriate communication tactics and channels, including developing new ones.Enhance communications capability through targeted training and consultancy.Foster brand advocacy among employees, encouraging them to share the Anglian Water story.Assist the Group Head of Corporate and Investor Communication in creating compelling strategic content.Support the Brand & Comms team during incidents, events, and projects, including areas beyond Internal Communications.What does it take to be successful?Experience in delivering communications strategies for customer-centric teams.Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and build strong relationships with senior management.Strong project management skills, capable of balancing priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Meticulous attention to detail.Proactive and ambitious, constantly seeking innovative ways to engage our people with key messages.Confident in challenging and providing feedback when necessary.Effective team player and collaborator.Inclusion at Anglian Water:Join us and make a difference.
