Opportunity to lead a team of forward-thinking individualsWork directly and proactively with Directors and PartnersAbout Our ClientLeading company in the Midlands with a growing internal audit and SOX functionJob DescriptionPlan and execute internal audit projects in accordance with established standards and timelines.Perform risk assessments and identify areas of potential internal control weaknesses or compliance issues.Assist in the planning and execution of SOX compliance projects, including scoping, risk assessment, and control identification.Assist in the preparation and review of SOX compliance documentation, including narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices.Support external auditors during the annual SOX audit process.Maintain strict confidentiality and objectivity throughout the audit process and SOX projects.The Successful ApplicantPrevious experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or risk assessment.Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements and internal control frameworks.Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
