Seen as a local employer of choice the group offer a number of employment benefits.Benefits:BonusRetailer discountsFlexible working pattern (Core hours 5 days a week in the office)Enhanced holidaysBonus schemeLife assuranceYour New Role As Internal Auditor:A newly established role in the business, this opportunity is part of an Internal Controls Function that will be critical to Group’s governance and compliance model.Reporting into the Head of Internal Controls, the successful candidate will work alongside the existing Internal controls team to establish an Internal Audit program. The risk management function must ensure that all material risks are documented, supported, and properly reported to management, Audit Committee, and to external auditors. As Internal Auditor you will be actively involved in building the Group's Internal Audit process following years of building new controls and documentation with a top 4 consultant partner. This role will include significant exposure to the Group CFO and the Group Finance Leadership Team as well as other critical stakeholders.Main role duties:• Build relationships with Stakeholders and be a credible partner in helping to introduce an Internal audit program into the organisation• Communicate your strategy to senior leadership and gain sponsorship for your proposals through consultation and effective communication.• To be able to concisely report back findings clearly and factual, setting out recommendations for improvement.• Prioritise your own agenda and input into a three lines of defence model.• Counsel the Internal BAU teams so they can perform controls effectively and make necessary changes.• Where appropriate, work on future acquisitions made by Group and support in ensuring they adopt standard processes as defined by FinanceThis list is not exhaustive and may be added to or amended from time to timeExperience & Qualifications Required To Apply:To be considered you shall hold a relevant internal audit, risk or accountancy qualification is desirable (IIA, IRM, ACA). With a track record of independently testing controls and providing feedback, you shall have experience of operating in a complex business structure, ideally within industry. Able to identify control related issues your experience will enable the ability to recommend improvements, as you are confident in advising, presenting and providing detailed reports on audit items to senior stakeholders and managers across various divisions.Salary And Reward On Offer:With a competitive salary you will be working alongside like-minded professionals in an environment where there is opportunity to develop and progress.
