A global property and construction consultancy with over 3000 employees worldwide is looking for a Intermediate - Senior Sustainability Consultant to join the London office.

Working with real estate investment funds, developers, contractors, private clients and public sector clients, they work to decarbonise large portfolios of new-build and existing building and infrastructure assets. With 80% of the buildings that will be in use in 2050 already being built, you will have the opportunity to take a holistic approach toward improving the impact of our current building stock and making a real impact in reaching the UK's Net Zero Targets.

Historically they have been specialists in cost management and programme management but due to their client's needs they are expanding their sustainability team massively. Having spoken to their Head of Sustainability, they are looking to grow the team from 15 heads to 45 heads in the next 18 months and are keen to speak to talented people. A constantly evolving team with plenty of opportunities to progress and the opportunity to buy in as a partner after long term service - regardless of seniority.

Key Requirements
We are ideally looking for someone who has at least 3yrs experience providing built-environment related consultancy, will possess a comprehensive understanding of the environmental policy and the legislative landscape, and demonstrable evidence of delivering sustainability-related outcomes on completed projects.

  • Experience in delivering sustainable design deliverables in at least one of the following disciplines:
    • Green Building Certifications (BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel etc.)
    • Whole Life Carbon Analysis
    • Net Zero & Sustainable Design Strategies
    • Post-Occupancy Evaluation & Building Optimisation
    • Built Environment ESG
  • The ability to take responsibility in leading and delivering projects, coordinating and managing input from multiple personnel
  • Demonstrable evidence of developing sustainable design strategies in a built environment context
  • Experience in liaising with clients and managing stakeholder relationships
  • The drive to build capacity and expertise within the team and wider practice
  • Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in financial management, including forecasting and resourcing is desirable but not expected
