Intermediate/Senior QS/Commercial Manager
We currently have a great opportunity for an Intermediate/Senior QS/Commercial Manager to join our team in Bristol.
Specification:
Qualifications Essential:
Degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or proven experience
Relevant experience Essential:
Experience of refurbishment/Framework projects in a number of sectors
Conversant with JCT and NEC suite of building contracts
Aptitude, skills & abilities Essential:
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of personnel
Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines
Broad understanding of the construction industry
Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills
Strong IT skills

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch)
Location:
Based at Bristol Office

Description:
Job responsibilities:
Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information; costs, profitability and values meet the designated project/contract requirements.
Effectively manage/assist with commercial aspects of the Office in line with Business requirements and Budget parameters. (including profit, turnover, costs, WIP, sales invoicing)
Provide/assist commercial support to operations and close liaison with the Project Teams.
Apply knowledge of Construction Contracts to oversee the financial management of projects.
Regular reporting on financial performance to senior management
Ensure commercial strategy is developed and delivered in line with Company requirements.
Assist in the co-ordination, preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids and tenders.
Oversee and develop members of the Commercial Team.
Develop Client relationships and attend Client meetings.
Attend and contribute to internal management meetings.
Monitor contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
Ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time.
Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
Obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services for a number of assigned projects/contracts.
Oversee the procurement of all projects to ensure that resources are in place in a cost-effective and timely manner.
