Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

INTERMEDIATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR - ESSEX

Clearfield is working closely with a Tier 1 Construction Contractor that support a wide-reaching portfolio of clients in the Education, Commercial and Healthcare sectors. With a full order book, many of which are repeat clients, we have been tasked to source an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience to join the commercial team based in Essex.

Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Ensure monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, amounts for contract, subcontractors, specialists and suppliers are completed as required by the various contracts and deadlines.


• Effectively work closely with wider commercial and construction team.


• Assist with tenders as required for projects ranging between �500k to �7M.


• Provide timely, accurate valuations and where required, cost forecasts and cash flows.


• Financial control of variations to contracts.


• Maintain good relations with Clients and their representatives at all times.


• Represent the Company's interest at meetings held in connection with works on the relevant contract.


• Place subcontract work packages under relevant contract, in accordance with the procurement schedule.

Key Attributes:

• Experience in an Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveying role with a main or sub-contractor based in the UK.


• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.


• Understanding business contract requirements.


• Ability to maintain a professional image at all times when representing the company.


• Strong team player.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.


• PQS background considered.
