Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 + Pkg Location: Birmingham A top Civil Rail Contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple projects across the Birmingham & Derby area. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work on an exciting portfolio of projects, with clear career development opportunities.The ideal Candidate must be:Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management (or similar, HNC will be considered)Previous experience working with a contractor in a Rail or Civil Engineering environmentFamiliar with NEC option 3, NR and ICE forms of contracts is also desirableGeneral day to day responsibilities include:ReportingMeasure and ValueCost Control & Budget ManagementRecord KeepingForecast Cost to CompletionApplicationsCash flowChange Management and ClaimsSubcontract ProcurementMaximise IncomeClient and Supply Chain RelationshipsConflict AvoidanceDispute Management and ResolutionSalary will be based on experience – ideal experience within NR and NEC types of contract are also advantageous.Please submit a copy of your CV with a cover letter outlining previous history working within the civil engineering or rail sector.This position is only suitable for UK residence and applicants who do not possess a British Passport or working visa will not be considered.
