Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer - Decarbonisation & Net Zero - to £44,000 + c.10% Bonus + Package.I am working exclusively with a global Real Estate Consultancy, recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join an established M&E team consisting of some of the best Engineers in the industry, to focus on the Decarbonisation of existing buildings.We are keen to speak to individuals who are interested in transferring their Electrical Building Services Design skills Client- Side into the Commercial Property sector.The aim of decarbonisation & Net Zero team is primarily to tackle Decarbonisation of existing buildings.Still working within their established M&E team but focusing on Decarbonisation and Net Zero strategies across my clients managed estates & portfolio's.The key consideration here is the scale of the impact that you could have on the Decarbonisation of buildings across the UK and Europe.Essentially engineering solutions that work towards optimising client's portfolios. A strategic service offering that involves overseeing building performance evaluations, analysing data, and implementing optimisation strategies through design to enhance energy efficiency.Remuneration:Salary £44,000Discretionary Bonus c.10% per annumCompany pension 8% employer contributionLife assurance 4 x salary25 days holidayWhat you'll do in the traditional sense:Carry out full detailed design stages 0-7Client advisory directly with end user clientsProject management & coordination with other engineering and real estate disciplinesPrepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budget costs to programmesPeer review and overseeing external consultant designsClient/Project managementWhat you'll do in relation to Decarbonisation and Net Zero:Identify and propose design interventions that will reduce energy consumption and improve performance of buildingsAttending sites to survey buildings to obtain informationComplete technical feasibility studies for sustainable design interventions. Collaborate and coordinate with other consultantsManage specialist modelling consultants and collaborate with the wider team of consultants to generate the report deliverablesPresent proposals to clients and external project team membersDevelop design to implement proposed interventionsIn Addition to the Design requirements above, the suitable candidate would ideally have the following engineering decarbonisation experience - This is a wish list, so not all essential but gives an idea of the additional skills you could learn in the role:Have a passion to take action to address climate changeCompetent producing reports and technical studiesHeat pump and decarbonised/electrified heating strategy design experienceHave an understanding of EPC and CIBSE TM54 modelling methodologyUnderstanding of and experience on Net Zero carbon projectsUnderstanding and project experience with BREEAM assessmentsExperience working on NABERS DFP projects or NABERS EnergyExperience with IES and/or TAS thermal modelling software. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the clients psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership.They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression.The earning potential is in excess of that in design consultancy, with a great salary and an excellent package, including annual bonus of circa 10% of salary and opportunities for CPD and career growth that are exponential.We have placed a significant number of individuals from market leading design consultancies into Property Consultancy.
