Interim Trading Standards Officer

• Manage or oversee complex projects involving various stakeholders to ensure business compliance with Trading Standards legislation.

• Prepare reports, handle correspondence, conduct interviews, brief the Council Solicitor, and provide courtroom testimony when necessary.

• Implement all relevant legislation by utilizing a spectrum of enforcement powers, ranging from informal education to formal legal actions as per the Enforcement Policy of the Division.

• Actively participate in project teams to support the implementation of local and national health promotion initiatives.

• Monitor performance and quality standards, ensuring that Trading Standards activities adhere to policies, procedures, and the standards outlined in the local service level management agreement and sub-regional partnership agreement.
