Interim Operations Director

Our client is an iconic branded food manufacturer. With an exciting growth strategy, the business is investing heavily in its South-East-based manufacturing facility as it looks to develop markets in the UK and overseas. In support of this strategy, they are looking to appoint an executive interim operations professional to join the business for circa 12 months on a part-time basis; circa 2-3 days per week. Primarily, the incumbent will provide strategic support to the manufacturing leadership team; mentoring the department heads across Production, Engineering, Technical, & HSE. Additionally, there are significant capex projects underway as well as a constant drive on NPD and Product Innovation which will impact significantly on manufacturing.
Who we're looking for:
An extensive track record in operations leadership, encompassing Production, Engineering, Technical, Capex Projects and NPD
A strategic mindset and the ability to coach, mentor and develop an existing management team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the manufacturing agenda cross-functionally up to board level
The flexibility for a part-time contract, working 2-3 days per week
