Interim Management Accountant

AJ Bell could have just the opportunity for you.We are looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join our high performing finance team to support the continued growth of the business and transition to a new accounting system. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in delivering key management information and analysis and supporting the accounts payable and receivable functions. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and experience in providing high quality management information.You will already have a good understanding of finance processes and controls and will be a proactive, technically strong individual, with previous experience in a similar role. As this is very much a hands-on role, you will quickly adapt to your new team and the business and will thrive working in a fast-paced environment. Key focus areas of your role will be:Supporting the preparation of the group’s monthly management accounts, associated commentary and variance analysisSupporting the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting our accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and paymentsAssist with preparation for our year-end auditAssist with ad hoc project work as required by the businessQualification, skills and experienceExperience of reporting within a large company or plc environment desirableGood understanding of IFRS frameworksStrong analytical skillsLogical mindset; able to solve problems with an ‘eye for detail’Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise information effectivelyOrganisation and time management skills with ability to prioritiseAbility to work to tight reporting deadlinesProficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly ExcelAbout us:AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers, to DIY investors with little to no experience.
