Description
The Interim Learning & Development Manager will hold key responsibilities including:
- Define the learning & development strategy and plans, in conjunction with HR, to support immediate business requirements and build the capability and capacity needed for the future.
- Set and execute the annual plan as part of the annual refresh of the business long range plan and budget process.
- Lead the EVP activity at each stage of an employee's journey.
- Co-ordinate the overall on-boarding process within the business to ensure the best employee experience.
- Work in partnership with the HR team to support the annual talent cycle process and development action planning.
- In partnership with functional areas build programmes to ensure all employees are safe and compliant, skilled to work, functionally and cross functionally excellent and have the necessary management & leadership training for their roles.
- Support HR as required in ensuring the business has a best-in-class approach to Leadership Development and appropriate programmes are in place to grow management and leadership capability.
- Champion apprenticeships across the business from earlier careers up to senior level apprenticeships.
- Lead the design, implementation, and adoption of the LMS.
- Ensure all procedural standards and governance are met regarding compliance, GDPR and industry codes of practice.
Profile
To be successful in this interim Learning & Development Manager role, you will need to be/have:
- Preferrably degree educated or equivalent, CIPD
- Proven learning & development experience acquired in the manufacturing industry/sector with wide bandwidth and compliance requirements.
- Business Partner with proven track record of defining learning & development strategy and translating this into an annual L&D Plan that builds organisational capability and capacity.
- Able to work in partnership with HR to support the business.
- Ideally LMS implementation experience.
- Experienced in building functional excellence by defining and embedding capability standards frameworks.
- Previous experience of leading Apprenticeships, internships, and graduate programmes.
- Demonstrates sound understanding best in class Management & Leadership Development practice.
- Available to start a new role on short notice.
