Interim Head of Financial Reporting - Part Time

Axon Moore are looking for a Head of Financial Reporting to work with a small entity of a leading North West business who are high growth and historically highly acquisitive. This subsidiary is circa 20 mill turnover. The small size of the business and team means an ability to get involved in all aspects of the organisation providing a variety of tasks that can be uncommon in larger organisations. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team in the role of Head of Financial Reporting. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, accurate financial reporting, and optimising the group structure for efficiency and cost savings
Job Description: Preparing preliminary corporation tax computations for annual financial reporting purposesCoordinating the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teamsManaging and coordinating VAT reporting processes, including preparation and submissionAssisting in the preparation of financial reports and statementsAssisting in all aspects of the family charity foundationSupporting internal and external audits as neededAssisting the Finance Manager with management reporting as requiredAnalysing the group structure to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunitiesWorking on streamlining the group structure by closing down entities that are no longer requiredFacilitating the transfer of assets and liabilities within the group to optimise efficiency and minimise costs Person Specification: Qualified AccountantProven experience in corporate tax and VAT reportingStrong understanding of tax regulations and lawsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectively We are happy to consider candidates looking for daily rates or FTC to suit for circa 3 to 4 months. The role is part time and is ideally suited to individuals seeking a flexible schedule to accommodate personal commitments such as childcare or other obligations.
