Are you a Senior Finance professional with project accounting and agency/ consultancy services experience who is looking to join an innovative, fast-paced and growing marketing consultancy? Man Bites Dog is looking for an InterimHead of Finance to manage all financial areas of the business and provide thorough commercial analysis, while business partnering with the client team to drive the consultancy to meet the ambitious growth target. Role Overview:As an Interim Head of Finance at Man Bites Dog, you will lead on all aspects of our finance function. You will collaborate with all members across the team, report into the SLT and work closely alongside our Managing Director. Key Responsibilities:Managing the financial growth of the business Fee forecasting and targets Controlling and flexing the annual budget Whole team resource allocation and capacity management KPI tracking and recommendations Financial analysis to fuel growth Data preparation to support commercial decisions Providing robust and accurate financial information Monthly reporting on a financial dashboard Preparation of commercial analysis on request Suggesting and providing further analysis for growth Driving the client team to meet monthly income targets Reporting on financial and resource tracking Guiding the client team in strong project management Finding solutions to account challenges Working with client teams to make changes to hit target Leadership of the finance functionReviewing mgmt. accounts, payroll, bank payments Cost control, budget requests, supplier management Accountability for monthly revenue recognition Responsibility for client WIP, accrued and deferred income Management of the finance team of 1 Management of risk and compliancePAYE, Tax, VAT, Insurance Treasury management Financial governance Client due diligence and adherence to contracts Project lead on operational projectsSynergist Finance System improvement for scalable growth Improve efficiencies and reduce manual entry Non-financial projects e.g. Business accreditations The essential requirements we’re looking for: Chartered Qualification At least 10 years' experience as a financial leader in a growing SME Experience with Synergist or Paprika (or other agency software) High level skills in working with Microsoft Office and Xero Experience in time-based costing, project WIP, revenue recognition, deferred income Ability to work in a fast-paced leadership role High-level financial skills Excellent attention to detail and proactive analysis A self-starter who can hit the ground running, has the ability to multitask and wear a lot of hats at all levels Excellent time management skills Ability to meet strict deadlines Strong communication skills Professional approach to tasks and responsibilities Business partnering experience Desire to work in a dynamic and creative business Strong communication in a collaborative culture Ability to remain agile and respond to shifting organisational priorities Why Join Us?Collaborate with exciting clients and an award-winning team of industry leaders, on innovative campaigns that are dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.
