Interim Financial Controller role
4-6-month interim assignment while the company goes through their own permanent recruitment processManaging a team of 10 in total (including 3 x interim contractors)Responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis - Managing a team of Finance Managers, Finance Business Partners and Commercial AnalystsReporting to the FD/ CFO
Reporting:Drive the month end close process and delivery of monthly/ quarterly management reports Ensure proper analysis of budget variances and performance of balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure the Finance team works closely with operations to support their understanding of the financial performance, which in turn allows them to provide insightful analysis to investors.Oversee involvement in audit processes over statutory accounts, ensuring requests from auditors are addressed on a timely basis Budgeting and Forecasting:Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and re-forecasts and budget Liaise and co-ordinate with operations to ensure finance provides the required support and challenge in these planning processes.
Financial Analysis:Oversee the production of reactive and proactive analysis to provide insights into performance.Supports business performance by providing cost data for operations, which allows the team to implement effective cost control measures.Develop a suite of relevant KPIs and analyse trends Transformation and business changesParticipate in relevant projects for finance and business processes optimisationDrive the month end close process and delivery of monthly and quarterly management reports Ensure proper analysis of budget variances and performance of balance sheet reconciliations.
