Nicholas Howard are looking for an Interim Financial Accountant to support a fast paced Financial Services Client, working within a unit�who provide shared service�support to the rest of the group.�Key aspects to the role include responsibility for preparing statutory accounts in line with�IFRS 10 investment entity company status (IFRS 10 experience not essential), preparation of the associated tax returns and�providing support with the group audit.
The role will be based from home, however you will be expected to work in the Sheffield�office once per week.

The successful candidate will be able to�operate independently for extended periods of time, and interact confidently with the�subsidiary Heads of Finance.

- 3+ years experience in similar financial role with in an SME
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to communicate and�manage well at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work with subsidiary Heads of Finance in remote locations
- Experience of preparing statutory accounts (Desirable - under IFRS 10) and�managing group audits
- Review and sign off of Corporation Tax returns
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound�judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and a�results driven approach to challenges, with a customer service orientation#
- Strong accounting skills and understanding of IFRS, preferably professionally qualified (CA, CIMA or similar).
Highly regarded
- Experience in financial/professional services, either banking or non-bank�financial institutions
- Modelling and forecasting experience
Specific Responsibilities
- Management of the group audit and preparation of accounts in line with�IFRS 10 investment holding company status
- Preparation of statutory accounts and working closely with the�finance operations manager to ensure data integrity
- Preparation of [5] subsidiary accounts, two of which are also required for a�prior financial year
- Preparation of corporate tax returns for the above entities
- Identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies within the finance processes &�systems and designing & implementing robust solutions
- Input into preparation of Annual Review to be published to shareholders
- Assistance with any ad hoc finance projects as required
