Charitable organisation based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a requirement for an experienced Finance Manager to undertake the day to day management of the finance function for a period of 2-3 months.
What will the interim Finance Manager role involve?
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key responsibility of the interim  Finance Manager position will include:


  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including provision of detailed variance analysis and monthly reforecasting.
  • Support the annual budgeting processes including working with key non-finance stakeholders in budget setting and understanding the overhead costs for their individual departments.
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions, including sales invoices, credit notes and payments.
  • Preparation and submission of all external and statutory and regulatory returns including VAT and PAYE.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all month end processes are undertaken within set deadlines including completion of bank reconciliations and control accounts.

Suitable Candidate for the interim Finance Manager vacancy:


  • Applicants for the position will have previous experience of working within a similar SME environment with a hands on skill set and the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders throughout a business.

  • The role will be offered on a hybrid working basis with the successful applicant expected to attend the office 2 to 3 days a week.
