Interim Director of Public Health

A Interim Director of Public Health with specific experience in sexual health services is required on a Part Time basis 2-2.5 days a week for around 5 months paying �700-�800 per day. You will need to be a highly experienced director level interim who has extensive experience working across Health and Social Care in Public Health and able to lead a large scale programme specific to sexual health.

The key purpose is to provide strategic and operational leadership for commissioning sexual health services and to lead the Strategic Board for sexual health.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic leader building strong, visible and collective leadership, creating a culture of high performance, and supporting the delivery of the strategic objectives for sexual health.

• Together with the Strategic Board and partners lead on strategy development for sexual health in the light of long term business and healthcare goals and to deliver the vision and commissioning plan for the overall direction of the online London sexual health service, and ongoing development of integrated sexual health services, through effective project management.

• Provide the strategic and operational leadership and management of the Sexual Health Commissioning team and the development of the team and its commissioning and procurement responsibilities.

• Lead on strategic approaches for the sexual health system to improve healthcare quality and outcomes, focus on and reduce inequalities, whilst ensuring best possible stewardship of Local Authority funds.

• Lead on the strategic approach to the commissioning of sexual health services including the contract management and development of the online sexual health service.
