Posted today Full Job DescriptionAbout UK Infrastructure Bank We are the new, government-owned policybank Full Job DescriptionAbout UK Infrastructure Bank We are the new, government-owned policybankHit Apply below to send your application forconsideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you haveread the job specs first.n- launched in June 2021n- providing £22bn ofinfrastructure finance and partnering with the private sector andlocal government to finance a green industrial revolution and drivegrowth across the United Kingdom.We are looking for skilledand results oriented individuals who are motivated to help us buildthe UKIB into an industry-leading institution.Job Purpose ADirector is critical to ensuring the long-term success of the Bank andwill play a significant leadership role, reporting to a ManagingDirector.The role will focus on originating, structuring,and negotiating complex, bespoke infrastructure transactions with theBank providing debt, equity or guarantees.The scope ofinvestments will be UK national level however co-investors wouldinclude key financial institutions globally.The role holderwill act as an ambassador for the Bank’s twin missions of local andregional growth and the Net Zero transition.CoreResponsibilities Actively lead external market engagement withinvestors, developers, banks and industry players to build the profileof UKIB in the market, including speaking at industry events andconferences, to proactively generate new opportunities to meet thebank’s annual targets.Originate and screen potentialprojects and make recommendations to investment committee on thepotential eligibility of projects based upon their commercial andpolicy impact viability.Lead deal teams in the structuring,negotiation and the due diligence process, including assessment ofthird-party due diligence provided by technical, legal, and otheradvisors.Take a leading role for the bank in its policyinitiatives by utilising UKIB’s full product suite including debt,equity and guarantees, to deliver effective financing solutions thatmeet the bank’s strategic infrastructureobjectives.Interface in an open, constructive, andcollaborative manner with colleagues across the bank to share expertknowledge and experience, construct sector strategies and assess thesuitability of prospective deals to fulfil the strategic mission ofthe bank.Proactively maintain and build positive workingrelationships with both internal and external stakeholders, to includeGovernment Departments, ALBs (eg UK Export Finance, British BusinessBank, UK Government Investments and Scottish National InfrastructureBank) as well as banks, investors, advisers and project sponsors tocreate future opportunities and enhance UKIB’s reputation in themarket.Lead and motivate a high performing team andencourage a culture of knowledge sharing and learning to nurturefuture talent and proactively contribute to the Bank’s strategicobjectives and cement the bank’s reputation as a centre of excellencein infrastructure banking.Essential skills, knowledge &experiencenThe bank is seeking an outstanding individual with deepknowledge and experience of wholesale banking to support thedevelopment and rapid growth of the institution.Substantialcareer experience and market knowledge in infrastructure financing orinvestment.Expert knowledge of debt and or equity productsand the infrastructure sector with experience in dealing at Boardlevel with investors, contractors and advisors in the delivery ofcomplex projects.Wide-ranging leadership experience anddemonstrable ability to excel in managing high performing teamscoupled with a robust enthusiasm for nurturing and developingtalent.Able to act with a high level of confidence, maturityand credibility that is likely to result in positively influencingoutcomes that are in the best interests of thebank.Significant track record in building a strong networkof market relationships that can help the Bank deliver itstargets.Commercially astute with excellent provennegotiation skills.Be a skilled communicator and passionateabout contributing to the positive culture of theorganisation.The highest levels of integrity, capability,authority and independence.Individuals who can exemplify theSeven Principles of Public Life A career with us offers a uniqueopportunity to make a lasting impact and work on cutting-edgetechnologies that will drive the UK’s future.We valuediversity in our people and inclusion is at the heart of what wedo.We offer competitive benefits and unique learningopportunities from combining both private and public sector skills andexperience.%65802586% %%finance%%
