We need someone with an inquisitive nature, who can drill into information and help us find insight. If this sounds like you, then come and join us as Intelligence and Research Officer. You will produce regular information analysis to support the evidence for our system strategy and provide information on how we are progressing in improving health and wellbeing outcomes. This will involve leading and supporting key projects such as the creation and maintenance of dashboards, applying specialist analytical and visualisation skills and experience to work with all types of data and intelligence. We're looking for a creative and confident analyst that is able to use a variety of digital tools to tell great data stories. No two days will be quite the same in this varied and flexible role. If you are as comfortable spending a day with the team as you are working independently and confidently with new people, this could be the job for you. You will be part of a team fostering a culture of evidence-based decision making to deliver the best outcomes for our population, and making a real difference to the million people across Suffolk and North East Essex.Main duties of the job
You will have a knowledge of public health theory and of using a balanced evidence base to inform and support programmes of work that improve the health of the population, and a firm understanding of health inequalities. You will be able to use data manipulation techniques undertake development and production of reporting, analysing and interpreting data, working with data to support effective improvement, and seeing how it helps in developing service strategy. You will be the lead point of coordination for the team in relation to Information Technology, and act as the point of liaison between the ICP team and the IT department.
